- Length of course: N/A
- Numbers of courses per year: 3 (Mar / Apr / Sep)
- Max number of cadets per course: 25
Overview:
This course is aimed at Cadets who are currently enrolled for the BTEC award in Public Services, and need to complete a "Leadership Training module".
Pre-requisites:
- Cadets need to be enrolled
- Preference will be given to Cadets who are enrolled in the BTEC scheme
- Must be 14½ or older
- Have ideally NOT yet attended a JNCO course
Course syllabus:
- The cadets will be taught a range of Leadership techniques and skills, both classroom based and practical.
Structure:
Although SOME of the work can and is done in the classroom, the course spends time in the practical application of leadership, which includes an assessment of the knowledge imparted. BTEC requires Cadets to be graded for their Leadership module, and this course will be geared up towards providing such a result.
This course is best suited for candidates who need to complete a Leadership module, but who, in the opinion of the Squadron commander are not at the time suited for promotion within the Squadron establishment.
