The course starts on Friday evening, when the candidates are put into syllabus groups, in which they will complete several of the group tasks over the course. The classroom work is interspersed with Drill practical sessions, which culminate in the students filling the executive roles in a full ceremonial parade, which forms the graduation parade for all the weekend’s courses.
The course aims to provide feedback to Unit commanders on the Course Staff’s impressions of the candidate over the complete spectrum of events, activities, and learning sessions over the whole weekend, culminating with a series of short, but hopefully useful comments on the Course Staff’s thoughts on the candidate’s usefulness or otherwise as a potential SNCO.
